Port of Oslo has selected BluEco® Shore Power solution to reduce emission

Blueday Technology has signed an agreement with Port of Oslo for delivery of a BluEco® Shore Power system. Blueday Technology is proud to be selected as a total supplier for the solution and given a role in supplying our environmentally friendly technology supporting our vision “Technology for a cleaner society”.

The port plans an 85% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, with a long term goal to be emissions-free. Port of Oslo has an ambitious plan of action to cut greenhouse gas emissions by developing new technology and investing in emissions-free solutions. The port want to be a driving force, collaborating with the market to help shippers choose environmentally efficient and sustainable maritime transport for their customers.

By using the BluEco® Shore Power system, the port secure reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and noise as well as vibrations, improving environmental conditions for people in and around the port. Blueday Technology will be responsible for the design, engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of the project. The operating center in Stavanger, will execute this contract, scheduled to be completed during Q2 2021.
