Efficient and Flexible Shore Power Solution Delivered to the Port of Stavanger
The BluEco® Shorepower system at the Port of Stavanger marks a modern and powerful step toward greener port operations. Compact yet highly capable, the system is housed in a 40-foot container and features three independent shore power units, enabling simultaneous electricity supply to three quay locations.
Each outlet station is built for flexibility, delivering up to 1250 kVA with adjustable voltage (400–690V) and frequency (50–60Hz). This ensures compatibility with a wide range of vessels, supporting smooth and efficient connections regardless of operational requirements.
Positive feedback from operators
During a recent site inspection, users highlighted both the system’s ease of operation and its intelligent design:
“The control system is very intuitive and almost impossible to operate incorrectly. For us, this is one of the easiest systems to connect to – we can adjust both voltage and frequency exactly to match our vessel, which makes synchronization simple and efficient.”
The system also integrates cable reels from Zinus Power, which received particular praise for their practicality:
“The cable is significantly lighter than many others, and the reel is easy to handle – a major advantage in a busy port environment.”
Built for reliability and sustainability
BluEco® Shorepower is more than a technical solution – it is a step forward in making port operations more sustainable. Designed with reliability, user-friendliness, and environmental performance at its core, the system delivers on all fronts.
By reducing vessel emissions while docked, the Port of Stavanger now benefits from a cleaner, more efficient, and future-ready power infrastructure – one that sets a strong example for ports worldwide.
