Norwegian yard contribute to a low-emission society.
Blueday Technology has secured another delivery of their advance shore power units. The company has now entered into an agreement to deliver 2 of its SMART Shore Power modules to Kværner at Stord. The modules will contribute the yard to appear as a zero-emission port.
By using shore power, the vessels will turn off the auxiliary motors and generators that would otherwise have produced power for the necessary functions on board. This avoids emissions of harmful NOx, sulfur, soot particles and greenhouse gas CO2.
